Lord Fairfax
Soil & Water Conservation District
The Lord Fairfax Soil & Water Conservation District was organized under the authority of the Soil Conservation District Law as passed by the Virginia General Assembly of 1938. In 1941, the District was formed with only Frederick County. In 1944, Clarke and Warren Counties joined the District; Shenandoah County became a part of the District in 1945. In 1973, the City of Winchester joined to complete the present District.

From the South: Take Interstate-81 North to Exit 310. At the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp, turn right. There is another stoplight immediately after turning (this is at a T-intersection); turn right onto Route 642 (Tasker Road). Take the first left (Carriebrooke Drive). We are the only building on Carriebrooke Drive.
From the North: Take Interstate-81 South to Exit 310. At the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp, turn left. Turn right at the second stoplight (this is at a T-intersection) onto Route 642 (Tasker Road). Take the first left (Carriebrooke Drive). We are the only building on Carriebrooke Drive.
