Education programs are being conducted on a limited, as available basis by Conservation Technicians, Pete Benedetto, Alan Hawkins and Jed Rau with help from NRSC representative Mike Liskey. The Lord Fairfax Soil & Water Conservation District offers fun, hands-on education programs geared toward natural resources and environmental education. All activities have been developed to correlate with Virginia's Science Standards of Learning.
Please click on the link below to access a summary of the education programs that are being offered during the current school year.
If you are interested in having any of these programs brought to your school, please contact the District office at your earliest convenience. These programs are offered free of charge. However, it is strongly recommended that programs be scheduled at least a month in advance of the desired date in order to avoid scheduling conflicts. Lesson plans are available upon request.
