Wednesday Workshop – Vermiculture (Worm Farming)

Join us to learn from Zelda Zadnik, a local novice gardener who got hooked on worms 5 years ago.
Learn how to put together a worm home.
What to feed your worms, favorite and not so favorite foods.
How to separate castings from the soil.
Where to store and keep worms healthy and safe.
Personal stories of do’s and don’ts.
Observe worm bins and hands on feeding demonstration.
Feed all your food scraps to Red Wigglers, Eisenia Fetida, who will make the best soil addition and fertilized tea water in your next year’s garden. Enjoy the discussion and take away information and handouts. A new hobby or committed interest in recycling your food scraps into compost. This workshop is family friendly!
